Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
MBSR was developed in the 1970s by Jon Kabat-Zinn, a Western physician interested in Eastern
Philosophy. He developed an 8-week program that adapted ancient eastern tradition to our modern
western society. The Center for Mindfulness in Massachusetts, trains hundreds of practitioners per year. Several practitioners here in Montreal were trained at The Center for Mindfulness.
